EJ CONSULTANCY

OVERVIEW

In Malaysia, the most common forms of enterprise are Sole Proprietorship and Partnership, both registered under the Registration of Businesses Act 1956. Sole Proprietorships are owned and managed by a single individual, offering a simple and low-cost way to start a business, especially for small-scale operations. Partnerships, on the other hand, involve 2 to 20 partners sharing responsibilities, profits, and liabilities. While both structures are easy to register and operate, they come with unlimited liability and are taxed under the personal income of the owner(s), making them ideal for freelancers, consultants, and small professional firms.
